Welcome
to the Claude 9 music page.To navigate this page, move your mouse across
the buttons located above the left side of the
keyboard. This will show you the titles of the various songs and the artist
name of each. When you see one you would like to hear, click on it and it
will bring up an MP3 player for that selection {it takes a couple of seconds
to load}.
The first three tracks are collaborations between Claude 9 and DJ Manny
and all of them have lyrics in Spanish,as Manny hails from Puerto Rico.First
up is a rub-a-dub dancehall track with middle eastern synth melodies called
Dub UR Nalgas.Loosely translated, nalgas in english means "butt cheeks".Oh
yeaahh! Next is a funky downtempo breaks tune called Crema with a similar
lyrical message.Number 3 is an uptempo electro funk tune called Muevete,
check out the middle section for that
strictly old school vibe,y'all! The Claude 9/DJ Manny style is all about
the Party!!
The last track in the 1st row down is a Claude 9 tune called Afternoon. This
vibe is about chillin' outside in Austin,Texas.Listen closely and you
can hear the sounds of the birds singing in my backyard. Now we get to
some tunes from Claude 9 and vocalist Kimi Chi.As you might guess from
her name,Kimi Chi's lyrics come from a deep spiritual place.Fuzion is
funky with a message,Steppin' is full of dubbed-out wisdom, and Kaleidoscope
and Heaven will simply transport you to that meditative place deep inside
your soul.
Next up is another Claude 9 specialty-House Music!Patience is the title
track from the Ep of the same name by Ten Gallon Hats on Dae
records.Ten Gallon Hats features Claude 9,Chris Specht, and DJ Spettro
all working together on a track that is equal parts funky and deep.Following
that is a hard to find house version of Bob Marley's Kinky Reggae with
Austin's Mike E. Lovejones on vocals. It may sound like it ,but,no,those
are not samples of Bob Marley!Surrender is a super deep Claude 9/Chris
Specht collaboration with ethereal vocals from Kimi Chi.Big Hair Funk
is another collaboration with Chris Specht that featues a strong 80's
vibe{of course}with Claude 9's signature vocoder and synth solos.
The last row is mixed bag of styles from Claude 9 studios.First is Smell
Dat $%&*%,a funky tune{produced with Chris Specht},featuring a spoken
story from vocalist Yashika Vaughn about her man trying to creep in after
spending all night at the club.Watch out, dude!!Got to Have It is a short
edit of a track from Claude 9 and Kimi chi that was released on BMG's
Lounge Beatz 2 compilation. The last two tracks,Illumination and Smooth
n' Sweet ,are advance versions from the forthcoming CD from
Austin's live Hip-Hop act Afro Freque,of which Claude 9 is the keyboard
player and producer.Enjoy! You won't find these tunes anywhere else.
I
hope y'all appreciate the fact that these tracks cover a wide variety
of music. If I had to stick to one style I truly believe I would go crazy.Be
sure to check this site for info on upcoming releases and online availability.Claude
9 and Chris Specht,s Kritical Positive Ep from Shaboom records is available
